Memorandum of Understanding
As part of the MECA signed in June 2007, both the DHBs and the New Zealand Resident Doctors' Association (RDA), representing Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), agreed to form this Executive Committee to work constructively and cooperatively to ensure improved healthcare services and job satisfaction for the RMOs. There are 4 members each from the DHBs and the RDA who form this committee. DHBNZ provides advice, develops discussion documents where appropriate, and provides the Secretariat. The MOU Exec is currently looking at advancing national projects on different workforce practices and acting as a central resource to advise on best rostering practices for RMOs.
